I just couldn't sit here and wonder any more, so I took it upon myself to call the hospital in Dallas and see if they might be able to tell me a date. After being transferred and put on hold for 2 hours, I FINALLY got to the right department, and was told the lady that handles the scheduling was at lunch and she would have her call me back. Surprisingly she did-- she told me they did receive Kayla's info, but based on the info they had they do NOT think this will be able to be closed in the Cath Lab so they are now waiting on the cardiologist in Odessa to mail him the actual cd of the echo cardiogram, and once he receives it he will review it and decide for sure if he thinks it is possible to attempt the cath procedure, which if effective would mean they wouldn't have to do the open heart procedure. But if he doesn't think it is able to be done through the cath lab, he will just skip that procedure completely, and schedule directly for surgery to avoid putting her in more pain and procedures than necessary. So she said they should receive it and he would be able to read it and decide for certain sometime next week, and she will call me with the date just as soon as hes done. So I guess until then I will continue to sit here in a total state of loss, and just wonder.
On the bright side we have been going to church as a family, even went and bought a new Bible today, we have decided to invited God into our family and our hearts for actually all of this is in his hands. I can already see things in our lives changing, and I have complete faith that he is going to hold Kayla's hand throughout this whole ordeal.
